I believe my 18 month old is getting the last of his teeth last 4 days he has barely eaten and when he chews he spits it out alot or sometimes when I break it really small he eats it today he basically only ate raspberries even blueberries seem uncomfortable for him right now he makes a face while trying to chew the first few days he had a raised temperature and he vomited grapes once again all he ate that day pretty much. I'm a first time mum and he has had fussy days but this is far the worst he really doesn't want to eat or it's painful for him I'm not sure but his eating has never been this bad this would be day 5 he is drinking water normally. He has had extremely loose stools.like pure water. I can see him starting to lose weight and yesterday he looked very fatigued from I'm presuming not eating well any advice???
Any good teething recipes to encourage eating I'm desperate as I've no idea what to feed him now also there's no sign of these back teeth yet belut he constantly pulls his ear points to his teeth etc please send hellllp lol

Zzznd · 19/10/2025 16:44

I've been giving Ibuprofen, he stool wasn't as bad today but the refusing to eat is still quite bad I'm getting tiny bits of food into him but like I said he spits it alot and it's nowhere how it was do you know any recipes that are good for teething

I wouldn’t bother with recipes for teething at this point, I’d just give him his favourites.

Does his temperature come down with Calpol?

And which milk does he like?

Zzznd · 19/10/2025 20:08

Yeah even his favourites pasta he's not eating I'm literally only getting a little bit of breakfast in now he doesn't want fruit and he had a peti filous today he's breastfeeding no problem and is asking for that instead of food so I give it to him because of I don't he wouldn't stop

If he’s BFing he’ll be fine. He will make up for the calories when he’s feeling better.

If you’re worried about his temperature or if you’re worried at all then call 111, otherwise I’d see your GP in the morning but for now, feed, feed and feed some more Flowers

One of mine would only eat plain yogurt and mashed banana at one point when he was teething. If he's breastfeeding more, he'll be fine. Good luck. It's tough watching them refuse everything but he'll be ok
