And is the magazine the same as the website and is that the same as the app?

They have a special offer for a years subscription to the magazine and a free slow cooker but I would only want this if I get access to the recipes on the website too and it doesnt mention that, also whether the app is the same as the website. I find it quite confusing.

I subscribe to the magazine. I have the printed magazine version. There is also an app version which is a digital copy of the magazine. The website is different. A lot of the recipes end up on there eventually but not all of them, and not right away. I do use the website as well receiving the magazine because it’s essentially a massive back catalogue of recipes.
I typed some recipe titles from this month’s printed magazine into the search bar on the website to test this and they show up but are labelled “App Only” so only available to digital subscribers. I agree with you that it’s not especially clear and they certainly do give away a lot of their content for free, even if you do have to wait a while.
I subscribe because I like to take my mum and sister to the Good Food Shows but neither of them can walk for hours without a rest so the free access to the magazine subscribers lounge makes the day manageable.

I subscribe to the magazine through the library. Online version through the borrow box app. Doesn't come with access to the recipes in the good food app but it's good enough for a flip through for inspiration.

I've had a few disasters with their recipes, before I realised that many are from readers & not tested.

Much better to use the FREE real BBC site

www.bbc.co.uk/food

Just to say that my local library has Pressreader app free for its readers and Good Food magazine is free on that. I've now cancelled my Good housekeeping sub as that's also available there
