SR flour, yoghurt, baking powder, maybe a bit ot salt and/or garlic powder.
Very easy but you need a hot pan

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 26/09/2025 14:33

That's how I make mine. Mix SR flour with Greek yoghurt to a dough, leave to settle for a bit and then roll out flat and dry fry really hot. I sometimes put dessicated coconut in my mix because I like my nans a bit sweet.

I just do these, no need for baking powder. They have a main like texture if not too thin. As Hopping said a very hot pan.

No, just sf flour, a pinch of salt, and Greek yoghurt. Very easy.

No, nan bread is an unleavened bread so not risen with yeast. The action of the yoghurt with the flour will give it a slightly 'puffy' texture if you leave it in the fridge for an hour or so before frying.

I use the flat bread recipe here Flat bread. There's a lot of ads on the page but you can choose jump to the recipe or watch the video right at the top. I've made them quite often to go with our curries, the two images below (when they show) are how mine turn out, they're more naan than flatbread

Do you use baking powder

Only if using plain flour, if you use SR you won't need it.

Eggybreadwithnuts · 26/09/2025 16:28

I will have another go. Dough was so sticky. Im wondering if I didn't knead the flour into the yoghart enough

I don't use recipe at all, just when it looks the right consistency to roll out
