My girls (2.2 and 1 yr) love spicy food, especially indian snacks, does anyone have a recipe for samosas (and/or pakoras), preferably a baked version, rather than deep fried. I'd also like to have a go at homemade pilau rice. Thanks

Ooh that looks good, although I might try with filo pastry first, for speediness (and maybe just a bit of laziness!)

Any other suggestions for spicy bits and pieces?

filo ones are good too.

Dahl is great as a spicy food, my DS loves it. Loads of recipes on the net.

Also, onion/vegetable bhajhis are quite easy to make. They do need to be fried but at your DD's ages they do need more fat in their diets then us so will do them no harm.

How abou tpopadoms with mango chutney and yoghurt and mint for dipping? Very fun to eat.

My ds is addicted to bombay mix too, although your 1 yr old would be too young for it really.
