Help!! Family meal ideas

So my DS is starting school and I need some meal ideas. He went to nursery and was fed twice there so when he came home he didnt want a full family meal, but now with school he will need tea.
I've always struggled with ideas in what to have for tea as I'm slightly fussy myself.
We keep having the same meals every week it feels like and want to change it up now, but also dont want to spend a bomb on shopping. So any quick easy and cheap meal ideas would be great.
We like chciken and most veg, seem to do alot of pasta so any meals that I can use chciken in twice as I but a bulk of it etc would be helpful.
Thares me DH and DS who is 4.

We dont do spice as such so spicy curries etc wount be a good idea.

Thank you x

You don’t do any spice @Holley89?

I really like the series of ‘What Mummy Makes’ recipe books. I found them when I was in the weaning stage but actually the whole idea is cooking one meal for the whole family, so they are good for families with older children too.
Nothing takes long to prep, or is massively complicated.

Just do the usual family meals you had as a child?

spaghetti Bolognaise
curry
fajitas
roast
toad in the hole
chicken tray bake
salad and bread
kebabs
fish finger butty
couscous and grilled chicken
stir fry

what did you have as a child that you enjoyed?

Sausage and carrot pasta.

Chicken rhamen.

Fortunately we all like spicy food.

Homemade pizza (various toppings)
Chicken curry
Ghoulash
Chilli Con Carne with black beans and rice
Spag bol and pasta
Roast dinner chicken or beef
Chicken pesto and pasta sauce
Spicy chicken and sweet potato wedgies, oven chips or rice.
Homemade chicken and veg soup with chunky bread.

ETC ETC
