Over-baked financiers - any idea how to rescue them please?

I made financiers for the first time today, and whilst they’re not super-fiddly, I found them tricky!

The first batch took ages to bake, so I thought I’d be clever and bake the second batch for the same amount of time that the first batch ended up baking for. All I can say is… oops! The second batch ended up quite dry and too crispy. It’s not because of an issue with the oven, but just because I baked it too long.

Any ideas how to recover the batch please? I’m not making them for a special occasion, but just, y’know, my pride is at stake! 😂 I was wondering about making a syrup or something (e.g. equal parts sugar and water, and then waiting till the sugar dissolves) and, once it’s cooled, maybe drizzling it over the overbaked batch? Do you think that might work?

If the issue is that they are too hard to eat, I'd just eat them with custard or ice cream and let that soften.them a bit.

Fully came on here expecting to find a post about an ageing city worker having a pre-retirement crisis not a cake.
