Hello, first time posting in food/recipes.
I don’t enjoy cooking, I can do a basic roast, spag bol, lasagne from scratch and they are very tasty (if I do say so myself)
I’m not adventurous or creative in the kitchen but can follow a simple recipe.
I’m really struggling with family dinners for me, DH and 3 DC. No allergies or requirements.
please can anyone recommend some easy recipes for me, or point me in the right direction of where to find them?
Thanks 🙂

American here:

  • Baked/Fried Chicken Wings/Drumsticks
  • Rice and Brown Gravy with onions
  • Green Beans seasoned with smoked turkey necks (lol) and cut up potatoes

Pinto Beans (add cut up smoked sausage links, seasoned beef) & White Rice
Hush Puppies
Baked Sweet Potatoes (you can add brown sugar, butter, and marshmallows on top after the potatoes are fully cooked) Place back in oven for about 15 mins

Shrimp Linguini pasta
Garlic Bread

If you'd like help, let me know

These are two sites I picked up of MN, I think you’d find them really helpful. I use them a lot and our DC no longer live at home!

I made the courgette soup from the Taming Twins website recently and it was delicious. Courgettes, onion, garlic, peas, stock, Parmesan. Very simple and didn't take long to make. Looking forward to the leftover soup which I put in the freezer!

Sarah Rossi of taming twins is brilliant.

I love a one pot tray bake, orzo is particularly good for it and so easy. You can adapt it to have different flavourings, I like cherry tomatoes, cheese (goats is good) and basil.

Have a Google for traybakes and I bet you’ll find something suitable!

Chicken and Chorizo Jambalaya is another popular one in our house

https://www.easypeasyfoodie.com/one-pot-harissa-chicken-butternut-squash-pilaf l use frozen butternut squash to make it easier.

The bbc good food website is very useful
https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/saucy-sausage-pasta this is one ds learnt to make, we also make a vegetarian sausage option for dd with herby sausage and emit the chilli (add half a teaspoon of mixed dried mixed herbs instead).

https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chicken-chorizo-jambalaya this is easy just make sure you stir every 5 minutes or so.

Thank you so much, I’ve got a few ideas to be getting on with 🙂

My family is loving everything on this website at the moment - it's Australian but very family flavours oriented: https://simplehomeedit.com/

I particularly like the "meal plans" section up top where she suggests a week of meals.

If you want quick and tasty have a look at Gousto’s sticky beef burritos.
