30 different plants a week

Is anyone doing this? I’ll try and find a link that explains it….https://zoe.com/learn/30-plants-per-week?srsltid=AfmBOooWb_hMM8qGzv1IGCYS6Qr1bLGaoEpoMo_mpMvzacNt14Rdx2Uq apologies they are probably trying to sell something, but jt at least explains.

DH and I and the kids almost certainly don’t manage 30 a week, a lot of that is to do with budget and wastage. Fruit in particular is expensive and in fairly big packs. Grapes, bananas, apples, a bag of frozen berries is our standard. Vegetables, salad, tomatoes, peppers, onions, carrots, peas, sweetcorn, broccoli, parsnips are probably the limit. I buy granary bread which is seeded, so that counts for something.

is it just changing my mindset and getting a bigger variety and accepting the higher cost? I see Zoe sell a product; I wouldn’t buy something like that as we just wouldn’t consume it.

So far today I have had avocado, tomato, tabbouleh (mint, parsley, cucumber, tomato, spring onions), garlic, potatoes and grapes =10 plus coffee and orange juice.
That’s without even trying and it’s only just after 1pm.

Chocolate is made from beans, so one of your 5-a-day !

Aye, from bean to gob.

Doesn’t it have to be really dark chocolate though, like that 95% stuff that caves in the sides of your mouth cheeks when you try and eat it? Not Cadburys Dairy SyrupOil.

I think it is timely but by his it’s boring. Admittedly I haven’t watched Jamie for a long time but he came across as quite tired and I must spend too much time on SM because it was also quite slow.

There were a few things I’d make but not as much as perhaps his other shiws.

my hugh f-w book turned up (used but was obviously never opened!) and it has some great ideas in, one is a mixed grain porridge, I’m probably going to try that and then make a mixture up for the children to use for their daily porridge when they return to school.

I’m also going to buy more seeds, nuts and dried fruit for snacking for the kids.
