Making cheesecake one day ahead of eating

I’m having friends over for lunch on Saturday so am planning on making the cheesecake the day before. It’s Nigel slater’s lemon cheesecake and it is baked in the oven. Would that be OK? Or does the base go soggy if left to stand? I’ve only made cheesecake once in my life before and I think we ate it on the day. Thanks for any advice

Hey! I always make a cheesecake a day before and it turns out great. It’s the recommended way as the cheese part is meant to set in the fridge overnight. When I started making cheesecakes I did on the same day but they just lacked a depth of flavour / texture!

good luck - I’m sure it’ll be delicious

That’s great, thanks for the encouragement 😊

Just an update. Made it the day before. It was nicely set, the base wasn’t soggy, it went down a storm. Great recipe you can find it online with a bit of digging.
