I have a ridiculous sweet tooth. I'm trying to think. Nerds Clusters sweets. I ate so many I nearly needed a dentist! And if you drink coca cola alongside them it tastes like fizzy water?!

Gypsy tart. Makes my teeth hurt just thinking about it

evtheria · 13/08/2025 18:19

Mars bars - in fact, if I want to refrain from eating chocolate bars every day, I’ll purposely eat one of those because it puts me right off chocolate for a week!
I also think most popular cocktails are very sweet, I rarely enjoy them unless they’re strongly citrus based.

and seconding Yodas: creme eggs. Bleargh!

JDM625 · 13/08/2025 18:19

Many Indian sweets including jelabi
Baclava- depending how much syrup it's soaked in
Scottish tablet (sorry, but the ones I've had are gritty and sugary)

I find most shop cakes, fruit pies and pre-made desserts too sickly. Most barbecue sauces or meats with maple syrup on.

I make cakes using 1980 recipes where the balance of flour/fat/sugar is 8/4/4. They're lovely, flavoured with fresh lemon or nuts, orange or dark chocolate or vanilla essence. I make pies with less sweet pastry, and higher fruit content.

I prefer meat flavoured with herbs and spices rather than syrup.

I'm not a big fan of chocolate, it makes my mouth ache when I'm eating it.

All the Ben & Jerry's flavours, give me a beautiful coffee or pistachio ice cream instead please.

White bread, especially UK "French" bread, tastes of sugar to me.

Even my teen ds won't eat Creme Eggs. 😀

OMGitsnotgood · 14/08/2025 22:57

Most cakes. I always reduce the sugar when I bake.

Re cream eggs: I used to love them but find them sickly now. Not sure if it’s an age thing or whether they have actually got sweeter
