What to do with the wraps I've bought

I've never really got into wraps but bought a pack of these so now need to think what to do with them, for main meals or lunch (at home). Ideas? Thanks in advance!

I love using wraps in enchiladas.

illiad · 08/08/2025 20:33

I am enjoying scrambled egg in wraps recently, could add tomatoes or mushrooms or bacon...

Other faves are:

  • Prawns with avocado, lettuce, mayo and black pepper with a squeeze of lemon
  • Fajitas
  • Beef or bean chilli
  • Pulled chicken with BBQ sauce and grated carrot and cucumber
  • Mediterranean roasted veg (usually go for aubergine, courgette, peppers and red onion) with pesto, olives and mozzarella

I sometimes cut wraps into triangles and brush with oil and paprika or brush with lime and chili flakes and air fry them then use them to dip salsa or tzatziki.

MyOtherProfile · 08/08/2025 20:37

My DH makes them into pizzas and grills them. Pizza tomato sauce and then anchovies and mozzarella. Yum!

FusionChefGeoff · 08/08/2025 20:39

We’ve just had fajitas! Tex Mex chicken, peppers, onions then soured cream, guacamole, cheese and jalapeños

MonGrainDeSel · 08/08/2025 20:41

Quesadillas! Loads of different recipes online.

Dc love these https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/bean_and_rice_burrito_33565 or chicken fajitas or tuna mayo with salad.

I once did a 'lasagne' using wraps. It worked out fine.

DongDingBell · 08/08/2025 20:47

My favourite wrap sandwich is to grate cheese (strong cheddar in my case), and half a carrot.
Then cut some cucumber into matchsticks and scatter those plus some rasins on top, and roll it up.
Given the flavour of the wraps, I think I might switch the cucumber for baby spinach.

Kids like Philadelphia spread over, then a layer of smoked salmon (this doesn't happen very often!), then their prefered salad before rolling. DS2 has sliced pepper, DS1 lettuce - preferably rocket.

JungAtHeart · 08/08/2025 20:48

I love a quesadilla 🇲🇽 ham, cheese, salsa … whatever’s in the fridge really

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 08/08/2025 21:00

Fold them in half and hang them on the oven shelf. Bake for 5 mins to make taco shells.

Use them instead of pastry for a quiche.

DelilahBucket · 08/08/2025 21:22

Various mexican meals like burritos, fajitas, enchiladas, huevos rancheros.

Chorizo, fried eggs, anchovies, rocket and mayo wraps.

Use as pizza bases.

Greek chicken or pork with salad and tzatziki.

Breakfast wraps - bacon, sausages, eggs, cheese, hash brown, beans, whatever you want to add really.

Can also be lightly oiled and oven baked until crisp like and served with dips.

These are a great way to use wraps. Nadiya's egg rolls recipe - BBC Food https://share.google/US2sBdTtWtwOyxTri

Mary berry does a great wrap lasagne recipe. I’ve done a simplified version a many times years ago. Might add it back into the rotation now I’m not doing SW!

merrymelody · 08/08/2025 22:07

I put a little leftover chicken (or any other cold sliced meat) in, along with a swipe of mayonnaise or cream cheese, lettuce, tomato, salt, pepper. I roll it up and slice it into quarters on the diagonal. You can put anything you like in them. Just roll it up and eat.

Fourcandleforkhandle · 08/08/2025 22:17

Mix Tuna, Mayonnaise and Sweetcorn. Add finally chopped red Onion. Add grated Cheese and mix. Put mixture in wrap and make a roll making sure nothing falls out. Heat a non stick frying pan. Toast the wraps until golden brown.

Very popular here and freeze really well. They’re usually served for dinner on days when after school activities make normal life impossible, with a side of
token veg and milld guilt.

Absolute link fail 😂

Jamfirstest · 08/08/2025 22:51

My kids love chicken wraps. Chicken beats done in the oven in a Nando’s bag with help yourself salad and sauces. Huge hit every time and all the food is gone. On the off chance any chicken is left over it goes in a sandwich for work the next day.

AdaColeman · 08/08/2025 22:51

Shredded crispy duck, crisp lettuce, finely chopped cucumber & spring onion, hoi-sin sauce.

Falafel, shredded lettuce, chopped cucumber & tomatoes, for the dressing mix together 50/50 Greek yoghurt and hummus.

Pastrami or roast beef, shredded lettuce, chopped gherkins & olives, celeriac rémoulade, mustard. Good with pickled onions on the side.

Leftover ratatouille, with any salad ingredients plus grated cheese, a quick lunch from fridge leftovers.

minipie · 08/08/2025 23:13

Quesadillas and fajitas as pp said

Avocado, prawns, herbs, chopped cucumber, bit of mayo and yoghurt. Would also work with cooked chicken, ham, bacon, feta instead of the prawns

Pulled pork with pico de gallo and mashed avocado

No guilt allowed! [wags finger].

You have dairy, carbs, vegetables, protein and a nourishing meal.

Sometimes when life becomes overwhelming 'Everybody fed, Nobody dead'. is good enough.

Gousto have a recipe for Sticky Beef Burritos which is good although we cheat slightly by using microwave rice as we only seem to eat them when we’re very short of time.

These easy vegetarian fajitas are good too. Even my DC ask for them.

For a quick, easy veggie family meal, try these black bean, avocado and pepper fajitas. If you don't have the spices, swap them out for fajita seasoning
