I pay for apps that give me recipe ideas, but what I think would be even better is a weekly meal plan that includes a shopping list and five dinner recipes. Instead of having to search for and match recipes that use the same ingredients, everything would be ready-made — one food shop list and five coordinated meals for the week. This would save me so much time, and I’d presumably save some money by having multiple recipes with cross-over ingredients.

Can anyone suggest any content creators/ apps/ books/ anything that might help?

I do follow Cardiff Mum on Instagram but she doesn’t post the 5 recipes as much anymore.

Hey! I’ve been using the Foodhak app recently and just discovered it has an in app assistant which gives you weekly meal plans and creates a shopping list as well! It is indeed such a time-saver and guess what it's free!

There’s an app called sidekick (by a YouTube channel called Sorted) which does this. They do meal packs, three recipes in each, all designed to minimise food waste. You can add ‘packs’ to your weeks menu and then it gives you a shopping list. You can tick off items you already have and export what’s left on the list. It also then guides you through how to cook it with pictures and audio if you want it.

There’s a free trial, and last year they had a Black Friday offer where a years subscription was half price (so I paid about £25) - which I definitely feel was worth it!
