Tofu, tempeh and calorie counting ideas

I'm intrigued by tofu. Can you eat it cold? (e.g. in a salad/as a snack). Are there any ways of processing it to heat without adding too many calories on - I see the instructions say to toss it in oil, but I'm eating low fat because of my gallbladder issues. What about tempeh, is it similar please?

Tofu is nice raw if you marinate it first - I press, cube and marinate it in vinegar, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, salt and garlic powder and keep in the fridge then it's ready to eat or to cook. You can air fry it with a little spray oil and add it to meals. Tempeh I can't help with though as I find it gross.

Better Nature tempeh is lovely and very nutritious. I heat it in a pan (with minimal oil) and add it to a salad.
