I’ve got more crab apples than I know what to do with. Any ideas other than jelly?

Chutney?

Can you trade them with a neighbour? Or sell/trade the jelly?

Gin!

Thank you - I think the answer is ‘anything you can add their own weight of sugar to’.

@iidentifyasapapaya They’re in a little community orchard so all my neighbours could get some… but they’re being left on the trees as no one can be bothered with them! Unlike the damsons, heritage apples and redcurrants that were all eating tonnes of.

More jelly. I use it as a relish and in gravy recipes and lots of other things. Also gifts.

They’re edible?!?! We had a tree in our infant school playground and were always warned never to eat them as they would kill us 😂😂😂
