Cheesecake mistake - help!

Hi
I’ve made a cheesecake this afternoon, made loads before but decided to be cocky today and didn’t follow the instructions Hmm…!
Realised straight away, that I’d already messed up as I failed to whip the cream before putting the cream cheese in.

So, what’s going to happen? Anything at all? I blitzed both together for a while in the hope it would be ok.

Moral of the story - read recipes!

It may be a bit runny? Will taste good though 😬

So is it sloppy? Or is it usable? If it’s sloppy, you can set it with a bit of gelatine, otherwise it will just not be as light, surely?

Whip it for longer it will firm up.

WonderingWanda · 02/08/2025 15:09

I vote whip it more!

Thanks all, I’ve given it a bit more of a whip, so fingers crossed!

shouldnt make any difference if you’ve whipped the cream now , whatever you do don’t add icing sugar thinking it will thicken it as it does the opposite

Returning to say - it was fine! A little less dense than usual, but in some way that was better

Thanks everyone!

I did this! I ended up blitzing it all together and freezing it. It was the most delicious ice cream
