Nigella's clementine cake - with flour?

I have a load of little oranges to use up. I've made nigella's clementine cake before and found it.....too almond-y? The texture was a bit too moist too. Also frankly its so expensive using 250g of ground almonds!

I wonder if there is a way to use half flour?

Or is there another recipe which uses the whole orange? I love the fact you just boil up the oranges then zim them.

Shouldn't be any reason why you can't use half and half on Nigella's recipe.
