What to do with this “bread”?

DH forgot to put yeast in the bread maker when he put on the loaf this morning. Smells great but it’s about an inch high! Half white flour half granary flour. Is there anything I can do with this (other than a door stop!) or is it just destined for the bin? Will it make breadcrumbs? Thanks.

I'm obsessed with bread salad at the moment, twice baked bread ,tomatoes feta and olive oil. I'm reading a book which features it, so I would give that a go.

Panzella!

Probs, the book is the history of biscuits so more focused on the paximadia.

Gazpacho ?

Breadcrumbs. Possibly croutons but it might be too dense.

Or crouton thingys with Gruyère on top of French onion soup

Sounds ideal for Spanish garlic and bread soup, which usually uses stale bread.

It won't make good panzella because it hasn't risen at all.

If you have a sturdy food processor you could add enough water to blend it into a paste and add that to the dough for the next loaf.

I'd just bin it.

Dh is adamant he’s going to eat it as toast. You may find me on the health threads later asking about broken teeth! 🤣
