We went to an Italian restaurant recently and we had chicken livers as a starter and it was gorgeous.
I want to make liver and onions tonight with chicken livers please can anyone help with how to cook it?

Prepare and cook the onions first.
Pick over the livers well and remove anything unwanted.
Dredge livers in season flour, dust off and fry very hot for about 30 seconds to a minute on each side. Add the onions to reheat.
Livers should be slightly pink in the centre.

Even better with lardons of streaky bacon cooked with the onions. Flambed in a little brandy is good too, the whole thing on a bed of salad with a little balsamic vinegar.
