I’m loving my air fryer, and my slow cooker at the moment.

I’m a bit bored of my go to recipes though.

Please share your favourite slow cooker and air fryer recipes please.

I’ve just started using a recipe planner but I don’t have a lot of recipes 😢

I tend to use Taming twins,Dean Edwards or bored of lunch for my slow cooker recipes. Poppy Cooks has some good recipes too.
These are a few of my regulars.

Chinese beef and broccoli
Beef curry
Korean beef noodles
Doner kebab

I also like to do pulled chicken for tacos in the slow cooker, basically just dump a jar of salsa over some chicken with some seasonings.

I cook loads of stuff in my air fryer too, but don't really follow recipes tbh and just treat it like an oven. I do lots of traybake recipes in there (obviously just in the drawer rather than on a tray!). Fajitas in the air fryer is my ultimate lazy dinner. You can also make the best chicken wings ever in the air fryer, a bit of baking powder makes them extra crispy 🤤

suki1964 · 02/06/2025 16:39

I just cook my normal what I would be cooking anyway food - in the air fryer

I have a 15 in 1 which I use far more often then the slow cooker , Im just waiting for the SC to die so I can throw it out guilt free

sciaticafanatica · 02/06/2025 21:14

Look at Bored of Lunch & jade bites on instagram

Oceanwinds · 02/06/2025 22:43

I just cook normal foods in the Airfryer like steak, chicken etc. Mainly use the slow cooker in the Winter. Think it's Tesco red wine stew recipe I make and a chicken stew.

Notbikiniready · 03/06/2025 20:10

I love the justaveragejen onion bhajis in the air fryer they are amazing!

coxesorangepippin · 03/06/2025 21:01

I am loving salmon done in the air fryer at the minute

I sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder then bake for 12 mins

It's really lush

Bunniemalone · 04/06/2025 07:06

For the air fryer I use pinch of nom & slimming eats air fryer books plus if you look at their websites there's a lot of free recipes on there. I'm loving salmon stuffed with pesto and light Philly. Sausages are so quick. For the slow cooker bored of lunch & pinch of nom are bringing one out shortly, never had a bad recipe off them.

People who only use their slow cooker in winter are missing out!

I use my slow cooker to make pulled pork, chicken beef etc. You can also make wonderful pasta dishes in it (I recommend using orzo or macaroni).

I regularly make the Ottolenghi confit chickpeas in the slow cooker (well a less faffy version using curry powder) which is delicious.

You can also make lovely cakes and desserts, I make this lovely banana self saucing pudding a lot https://slowcookingperfected.com/slow-cooker-banana-pudding/ You can amend the recipe to add chocolate if you like.

I also use it after every roast chicken to make stock from the chicken carcass. Just put the carcass in the cooker, add a quartered onion, carrot and whatever veg that is on the way out, a bay leaf and pepper corns, cover with water and cook on low overnight.

Slow Cooker Banana Pudding with a Butterscotch Sauce

A gooey banana pudding that you can cook up in the slow cooker.

Also i agree with a previous poster who recommended Tamjng Twins and Bored of Lunch for slow cooker recipes, they are very reliable and offer so much more than just curries or winter stews!

LardyCakeLover · 04/06/2025 12:27

This is a favourite of ours - just buy a chicken that will fit in your air fryer. I don't usually both spatchcocking it - can then fit in a larger chicken.

Should also say that I cook the chicken breast side down for 2/3rds of the cooking time, then flip over to crisp up the top

Aliflowers · 04/06/2025 12:33

Air fryer is just for anything that I’d cook in an oven ( except pizza because that doesn’t fit)

primarily use the slow cooker autumn/winter time but there is a few staple dishes I do this time of year especially on days where we’re busy and need a dinner nearly ready when we get in My kids love lasagna soup and Mongolian beef in it is delicious

May I please have the recipe for these?

lasagna soup and Mongolian beef

Aliflowers · 04/06/2025 20:54

@Tatemoderndrawyourown

This is the recipe I use for lasagna soup. I always use chicken stock and where she mentions tomato sauce I use passata

https://www.the-girl-who-ate-everything.com/lasagna-soup/

The Mongolian beef I sort of make my own loosely based off a recipe I got off a friend and just eyeball at this stage lol. It’s similar to this. I only do a lb of beef but the same sauce ingredients. I use sirloin usually. also add some chilli and broccoli or green beans for veg and to bulk out. It’s just as nice tossed through noodles as served over rice

Lasagna Soup | The Girl Who Ate Everything

This easy Lasagna Soup recipe is one of my favorite soups! Imagine a soup with beef, garlic, onion, and tomato sauce with tender lasagna noodles throughout. ...

Tatemoderndrawyourown · 04/06/2025 20:57

That's very kind of you, thank you!!

wizzywig · 04/06/2025 20:58

Potato waffles. 5 mins from frozen. I stick them in as soon as I switch the airfryer on

Crikeyalmighty · 04/06/2025 20:59

Blimey I’m having that lasagna soup recipe- looks amazing!!

Aliflowers · 04/06/2025 21:02

Sorry just to add on the lasagna soup the recipe listed uses a pot but I adapted for the slow cooker. So I brown the mince then dump everything in the SC for 3/4 hrs on high or 6/7 hrs on low (depending on what suits) then add broken lasagna sheets for the last 30/40 mins just until cooked

Todayisanewday75 · 05/06/2025 08:55

I’ve tried and tried but never made anything particularly tasty in my slow cooker. Kids look disappointed if they see it out in the kitchen! Tempted to give the Mongolian beef a try though.

Bagel or muffin pizzas take 5 minutes in the air fryer, great for hungry teens. Also the tastiest toasties in 8 minutes.

PergolaPrincess · 05/06/2025 20:18

Ooh, we just had Mongolian beef for dinner. Very nice 😋 Thank you for recommending it.

Edited

I'm trying the Korean beef and noodles tonight!

TheLadyIsAVamp · 10/06/2025 09:57

@mismomary I hope you enjoy! I followed the video recipe from Insta/Tiktok as he doesn't mention in the written one that the noodles get added after everything else has cooked. Probably obvious but thought I'd mention it and I like watching his videos anyway ☺️

Chelsea26 · 10/06/2025 11:16

I always make my lazy chilli in the slow cooker and it’s delicious and really easy.

Add minced beef, frozen onions and frozen peppers to the slow cooker and stir.

Add a whole jar, including liquid of red jalapeños (if you can find them - Morrisons are the only place I’ve found recently) or half a jar of green with a tablespoon of sugar/sweetener if you can’t.

crumble in a couple of beef stock cubes, a sprinkle of thyme, a squirt of tomato purée and season

add a cup of water, stir well again and cook on low for 8, high for 4/5 hours.

half an hour before end add a tin of drained kidney beans and a couple of tablespoons of gravy granules if it needs thickening up.

mismomary · 10/06/2025 22:04

@TheLadyIsAVamp it was SO good! I'm actually going to write the recipe on a card and put in my recipe box. I added torn bokchoi leaves to the pot just before serving. Cooked the noodles separately-I think he did mention this in recipe, maybe he's recently updated it. Thank you so much for this recommendation!

TheLadyIsAVamp · 10/06/2025 22:12

@mismomary I'm so pleased you enjoyed it! If you don't already I recommend giving him a follow on Instagram/Tiktok he does loads of slow cooker and air fryer recipes. I love his fakeaway series. Admittedly I followed him because I loved him from his Ready Steady Cook days when I had a bit of a crush on him 😂
