Jamie's meatloaf

Has anyone made Jamie's meatloaf from Ministry of Food but without the chickpeas? Just trying to work out whether this would work or not!

Yes it works but I like the fact the chickpeas bulk the meal out. That’s one of my go to recipes. Easy and everyone loves it.

Meatloaf is just meatballs in a loaf. Chickpeas aren’t necessary.
