Wanted: low or no sugar banana bread or cake recipe

Does such a thing exist?

I once accidentally left the sugar out of a banana bread recipe. I can't recommend it.

I use this recipe to make my banana bread and normally half the recommended sugar. If just cooking for family I also do half wholemeal flour and half plain.

There are plenty of recipes aimed at babies and toddlers with just fruit as the sweetener . They don’t taste as good as normal banana bread but if the bananas are ripe enough they are not too bad.

You need to use REALLY ripe bananas. They’re sweeter.
