Anyone got a go to recipe or has anyone got a better memory than me and can remember a few months back when someone said their friend had a restaurant/ take away place with a v simple satay sauce ?
I need to make my stir fry nicer tonight !

Mix some peanut butter with some soy sauce and bob’s your uncle.
Add some lemon juice/ginger/chilli powder/whatever you fancy if you like.

Smooth peanut butter, squeeze of lime, some soy but not too much, a little curry powder and coconut milk

OP, that might have been me you speak of! My SIL is from Indonesia and moved here (to Australia) as a small child, worked in her parents' restaurant and later, their catering company. She's 50+ now and the best home cook I know.

Their delicious satay sauce was smooth peanut butter mixed with coconut cream and paprika. Maybe salt and pepper. It tastes like it has far more ingredients than it does.
