I like to bit the top off and eat the innards with a teaspoon. Am the same with Walnut Whips - dh thinks i'm disgusting!!

Weeb · 16/01/2005 08:50

That's the ONLY way to eat a creme egg! Do you eat the innards first or the chocolate?

vict17 · 16/01/2005 08:52

innards first always

emmaTooMuchGrub · 16/01/2005 10:01

Arrrggghhhh.....this thread is torture!

My name is Emma and I love creme eggs.

Except I'm not allowed to eat them because I'm on a diet and it was creme eggs that broke my new year diet last year!

Deep fried creme eggs?????

Wow!

biglips · 16/01/2005 13:17

yuck !!!!!!!!!!

Prettybird · 16/01/2005 13:57

Creme eggs and mini eggs are great for eating on ski slopes! Purely medicinal of course, to keep the energy levels up at altitude

We always have to take supplies for our ski instructors in Meribel - who are now friends.

What about Caramel eggs and Rolo eggs? Of the two, I think Rolo eggs are better - but I'll eat either

I'm a "eat as much of the chocolate so that you get a nice big mouthful of filling to finish" type eater.

KateandtheGirls · 16/01/2005 14:11

When I was a kid I always used to marvel at my mum's utter selflessness in that whenever I had a creme egg she would be kind enough to bite the top of for me because I couldn't do it myself. I thought it was so sweet of her to drop everything to do it for me whenever I asked...

I lick out as much as the inside as possible, then the last bite is mostly that delicious chocolate with just a thin coating of the inside. That last bite is heaven.

Ameriscot2005 · 16/01/2005 14:16

My earliest Creme Egg memory is of going to the dentist for a filling when I was about 7, and my mum buying me a Creme Egg as a treat to make up for it.

Love creme eggs but caramel ones are definitely up the top for me. Our chip shop used to do battered mars bars and snicker bars. Yum.

Moomina · 16/01/2005 14:27

In honour of this thread I went out looking for Creme Eggs this morning - couldn't find any!!

Had to get enormo-bar of Toblerone instead. Shame.

Bunglie · 16/01/2005 14:34

Ooh! I agree the only way to eat them is to bite the top of and then lick out the insides, then shove the whole of the rest of the hollow egg in your mouth and eat it.....Yummmy!

vict17 · 16/01/2005 15:49

just had a yummy creme egg from sainsburys. dh had a smarties chocolate egg which he assured me was rather nice too!

Surfermum · 16/01/2005 21:43

They are so small these days, that you can get a whole one in your mouth (that's nothing to be proud of surfermum)

HunkerMunker · 16/01/2005 21:44

Got four for a quid earlier today. Three left (very restrained of me!). DH on strict orders not to touch them...

Angeliz · 16/01/2005 21:46

My dp is trying to lose weight and dd doesn't like them so there's only me

I've already eaten 2!

Prettybird · 17/01/2005 12:55

We're due to go skiing in a couple of weeks and I need to get my supplies in
