Dessert that will travel?!?

I'm driving for 2.5 hrs to visit an old friend for lunch on Sat, and have offered to bring a dessert. What can I make which is easy to transport? I've got a cool box but it's not wide enough for a cheesecake for example.

I guess I'm looking for some kind of dessert-like cake possibly...or anything else which perhaps doesn't need keeping cool??

I know you lovely mumsnetters will have some brilliant ideas - thanks in advance xx

Chocolate brownies. Pop a large tub of cream and a punnet of raspberries in your cool box and everyone’s happy!

also easy to make GF, dairy free or vegan as needed, although I always use the classic Mary Berry recipe

Pavlova. Make the base, pre whip the cream and take some berries (or whatever topping). Assemble there. Or similar, with Eton mess.

Mini cheesecakes in glasses?

Dense cake like lemon drizzle, or polenta cake or similar that isn't iced?

Put the cool box on its side and go for the cheesecake?

Apple crumble? Take it out of the oven right as you set off and serve with warm custard or ice cream.

Thanks for all suggestions so far - pavlova is an excellent idea! I'm quite tempted by the crumble too...
