Not the Netflix show!… I bought a bottle of apple cider vinegar recently, can’t remember why.
What can I use it for?!

I sometimes use cider vinegar in place of white wine vinegar. & DH likes it on chips !
Never understood why it's called acv. Cider is made from apples, so it seems a silly name.

It’s not actually.
It’s vinegar made from the fermenting of the sugar of apples/apple juice.

I think the name came from the US, where "cider" is a type of fruit juice that is somehow different from "apple juice". Whatever the process is, you can use it for other fruits, like pears, hence why "apple" was needed. Alcoholic cider in the US is called "hard cider". In British usage, "cider" means alcohol and apples, because "hard pear cider" is perry and non-hard cider is just juice.

Apple cider vinegar was a superfood™®© 🙄 at some point in the last decade and a half. It apparently cured cancer if you were sufficiently far down the "goop" rabbit-hole.

Have a tablespoon every morning and see how long you last before retching. It's a health thing, don't you know.

Alternatively I think you can use it for dressings. But that's as much progress as I've made with ACV.

I use it in french dressing, with red cabbage, and with honey if I have a sore throat

I used it to get a skin tag off 🤷🏻‍♀️ it really did work.

my old dog used to have it on his biscuits, for the health properties. His coat got quite shiny.

Did you just rub some on?

I use it for sale dressings mostly.

Yeah, I rubbed it on every night for a few days/a week. It shrank then disappeared.

I use it for the Quick pickled red onions that I'm addicted to!
