iwouldgoouttonight · 15/05/2008 14:08

Onion bahjies (I know I've spelt that wrong!), vegetable samosas or poppadoms. Or all three.

suzywong · 15/05/2008 14:08

that'll do nicely, thank you all

I don't want to recall my memories of the Sitara Restaurant on Holloway Road as it will make me blub so I asked you lot

I am doing an English meal tomorrow night for some Colonials so the starters and mains are Indian (Chicken TM) and the pudding is sticky date and toffee pudding.

1 poppadom per person, plus one for luck, eaten with loads of mango chutney and that lovely mint sauce (not raita)

I really want a curry now

MrsBadger · 15/05/2008 14:09

crystal kebabs - now we're talking

MrsBadger · 15/05/2008 14:16

Starlight, Ms Wong is now Down under and is obv missing the delights of the Holloway Rd. She would blub with overwhelming affection and nostalgia, not with fear or horror

Cappuccino · 15/05/2008 14:19

I think if it all possible you should get your beer in a bottle

it tastes nicer

and it is a nice shape to hold

god I love bottled beer

TartanKnickers · 15/05/2008 14:23

Chicken poori/puri - stains like buggery though!

suzywong · 15/05/2008 14:24

ah... the Sitara and it's Jazz evenings organised by Raj ....... Mmmmmmmm...don't get me started.

It's not opposite the cinema Mrs B, it's near archway tube close to the lawnmower hire shop and that Gresham ballroom place.
Number 271 anyone? Top Deck, all the way to AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH I've forgotten where it terminates? Finsbury Pavement is it????????
