Using up smoked salmon skin

I got a huge side of smoked salmon for a celebration evening. What can I do with the skin? It smells lovely and I can't bear throw it away. Thanks!

I always eat salmon skin as it's so good for your own skin! You could crisp it up in the oven and just eat it like that? I haven't tried it in salmon pate like that but maybe if you whizzed it up it would give a lovely flavour.

Crisp it up and use it in a salad. Like anchovies in a Caesar

Make salmon skin crisps in the air fryer or oven. Recipes on Google.

Snack on or use in salads etc

Crisping up the skin sounds like a good idea, I'm sure it would be delicious - but just imagine the smell in the house! It's a huge piece. I'm not sure I'll do that for that reason...

The cat?

The other use for it would be if you had dogs. I personally wouldn't think it was a waste to give that sort of thing to the dogs in small quantities but some people might. My dogs love salmon skin and I always hope it makes their fur shiny.

I love salmon skin. I just stick it in the air fryer with some oil and salt. So nice…and the smell of fish will go by tomorrow afternoon …. 😆

Ooh yep crisping it up sounds lovely! Was thinking you meant random ideas! Remembering the 90s when there was an item on The Clothes Show, when someone was looking to try and use fish skin like leather!!

I'd just gobble it up. Yum. I love salmon skin, fry it then eat with some lemon juice.

Would it work well if i chopo es it up in small pieces and use it in a fish pie?

Maybe you could use it in the milk to get flavour when you poach the fish? And then take it out maybe. I personally prefer it crispy. But I suppose if chopped up very small it might be good?
