Yes I do this, Rice Krispies, shredded wheat, weetabix etc. put it the bowl, add milk and microwave for 2 mins if I want it hot. What is odd about that? 🤷‍♀️

I wouldn't do that (and I don't eat cocopops), but I would pour hot milk on cereal in the winter on cold mornings.

I always put my whole bowl of cereal and milk into the microwave for 50 seconds.

Don't eat cocopops but would do this in cold weather to cornflakes, weetabix or rice krispies. Years ago we put hot milk on them but no need to heat the milk separately these days when you have a microwave!

WTF??? And how are there more of you???
I know my dad says when he was a child they would have hot milk on weetabix in winter, which I don't fancy. But if you add the milk first then microwave cereal surely you will have warm sludge???

Is this a tea bell situation? Are you all taking the piss?

Well when you had to boil the milk in a saucepan back in the day it was harder to judge the correct temp the brekkie would be when you added it, more often than not it was too hot. With the microwave you can judge it better to get to the temp you want, I know with my kids 30 secs in the microwave takes the chill off the milk if they don't like it actually hot or a second blast of 30 or any random number of minutes gives a much warmer sludge as you call it, very accurate temp control. After all porridge is warm sludge too, some people are not that fond of very cold bowls of cereal. Only thing I would always want very cold milk with would be crunchy nut cornflakes but they are borderline dessert with the sugar content!
