This makes no sense to me.

Alexa says each tablespoon is 15 grams so 150 grams

She is very handy in the kitchen for this sort of thing

It says the ratio of butter to flour is almost 1:1 so I would pick the number closest to the weight of the flour.

I hate American recipes.

So @soupyspoon Did you make it and if you did, what was it like?

soupyspoon · 26/03/2025 19:27

Its on the list still as I did something different in the end

However, as another thread says, people like me are obsessed with what they're cooking next and make it our personality, because we havent got a personality apparently

So currently I am identifying as a hot milk cake in the waiting!!!

Love it!!
Please post the results, I’d never heard of that recipe before.
I’m identifying as a Victoria Sponge (soon to be filled with jam & cream) and when that’s done, I’m considering transitioning to a Chicken arrabiata traybake with Parmesan dumplings 😁

Parmesan dumplings!!!!!

OMG, recipe please

My new personality transition.

Tbh it’s really straightforward -
In a lidded casserole / le creuset (obvs!) dish gently fry onions until softened
Brown Chicken legs in with them
Add tomato sauce of your choice (ie home made or jar) with plenty of garlic & chilli
Make dumplings
Pop dumplings on top, leaving a bit of space for them to rise.
Lid on pan
Oven for 30-40 mins.

Dumplings:
80g cold unsalted butter cut into cubes (hurrah!) I’ll probably use Atora veg suet
150g self raising flour
80g Parmesan
50-60ml milk
Rub / mix fat into flour.
Add Parmesan
Stir in milk with table knife
Shape into round balls, about golf ball size.
Tip - I always make twice as much dumpling mix as suggested, cos we’re a greedy bunch and can eat them with pretty much any hot meal 😋
