Experimenting with bread

Impulsive idea.
instead of making bread I’ve added cocoa powder, no sugar. Put the dough into a muffin tray. I’ve a feeling it’s going to be rubbish

I once made some ‘chocolate bread’ following a recipe. I think it’s the only time I ever cooked something so disappointing that it made my then young DD cry.😂

Add 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of nutmeg & approx 100g sultanas to a standard loaf recipe.
It comes out like a loaf of hot cross bun. Then lovely toasted with butter.

That sounds like a good idea. I sometimes make bread with rye flour which comes out quite heavy and a bit sweetish, I’ve been thinking raisins and spice in it might produce something a bit like malt loaf.
