I'm about to go shopping.
I have my friend staying for four or five days and want to make sure we eat lots of lovely things. Can you give me and idea as to my shopping list?

for breastfeeding mum, loads of little nibbly things that dont require a knife and fork and can be eaten hot or cold.

fod?

is that like a cross between fish fingers and cod?

sort of stylish fish fingers?

hmm.... yeah, it could work...

Fod, prechoolers. Ignore please.

I really am stressing now.

Spanish ommlette and /or courgette frittatas

interesting shaped pasta with peas and parmesan

roast chicken with salad and new potatos

good bread and cheeses

make sure you have lots of milk and fruit juice too

Misdee, thanks love. I thought lots of cheeses and crackers, pickles and dips, especially with the sweltering heat.

sorry, dev, couldn't resist

don't have any ideas for you though

Loads of fruit I assume? I buy loads anyway but my friend has told me before she has odd breastfeeding cravings, where midfeed she really needs a big slab of e.g pineapple.

I'm making spinach, tomato and ricotta lasagne tonight with a leafy salad and a tomato and onion salad. Then Rhubarb drenched in brown sugar and baked with ice cream for dessert.

It's the snacky stuff I'm worried about. She's enough of a friend to help herself, but I want to make sure we have what she fancies.
