Decent slicer for cabbage

Any recs for a good slicer to make cabbage salad (Japanese style). Basically shredding veg for coleslaw etc.

Oxo Good Grips mandolin! Or spend 10x as much for a professional quality one, which will do soft veg such as tomatoes and mushrooms. But for cabbage and other firm.veg Oxo is excellent

I just use a very sharp large kitchen knife.

I think this is one of those times when it’s really just a good sharp knife and knife skills. For the cost of a fancy mandolin, you could get a decent Japanese knife, if you don’t already have one. Well worth the investment.

Oxo does a large vegetable peeler that you can use going back and forth across a cabbage to shred it. Or you can pick up Japanese versions!

I use a veg peeler similar to the one linked above.

You can shred cabbage very fast if you keep shredding an edge rather than the flat surface iyswim.
