Friday nights night food

Hi all what do you eat Friday night . We usually have home made kebabs but are now bored of that . What do you have ?

Pizza (home made, frozen or takeout), or fish fingers are the most common. I’m usually pretty done by Friday.

Bottom-of-the-fridge veg,
stir-fried with oldest freezer meat/seafood,

• any suitable open jars of sauce in the fridge that are going out-of-date. Nicer than it might sound !

We will usually either have a takeaway, or cook something like steak and dauphinoise potatoes, a Cajun pasta dish or a Thai curry. It's the start of the weekend, so we like to cook or eat something a bit more special than a normal weekday meal.

Always pizza in our house. Usually home made - i find pounding dough quite therapeutic!

Tonight I had salmon traybake. Chopped up potatoes, onions, red pepper and tomatoes mixed with smoked paprika, chilli flakes, bit of white wine vinegar, salt pepper and olive oil. Cook the veg in oven until mostly done then add the salmon at the end. Was pretty nice and quite easy.

I always do my weight lifting on a friday so I like to have a decent amount of protein for friday tea. Quite often steak.

I'm usually Home Alone on a Friday night (dd2 off to iftar with her mates this evening) so I generally go for something fishy - dd2 doesn't love fish.

Tonight was lime & ginger prawns from The Roasting Tin cookbook (yum), & butter halloumi to use up a chunk of halloumi & left over frozen sauce from a very saucy butter chicken last week, & spinach curry from India Express to use up some wilting fridge greens.

I was stuffed! The rest of the greens are now in the freezer, the surplus prawns & halloumi are in ddog & dcats...

Friday night is fajita night. Either that or pizza.

Friday night is steak night here, or surf and turf if the dds are home as neither like steak but both like prawns/scallops/mussels.
No dds home tonight so just steak for us, ribeyes I think.

I'm not sure we routinely have friday night suppers that are uniquely for that day, but there are nights when I just want something easy and/or to "treat" DS/DH and in that case it's usually pizza or a version of sweet and sour chicken that is DS' favourite.

Homemade sourdough pizza and it is so good!!
