Looks ruined totally forgot to switch off last night was on from 5pm!!! So 14 hours. Wondering if adding water as its so dry will salvage it

You could try but I imagine the meat will
be dried out and it will have that kind of overcooked / burned taste even if it’s made wet again?! Good luck and hope it works

Take it out in thin layers.
Before each skim taste test
Smokey can work in degrees in a curry🤷‍♀️
Creamy and mild smokey and naan bread

Oh dear, if it had been chicken thighs or something you might have had more chance but chicken breast surely is going to be like leather.

great advice above about taking it out in layers, I would not have thought of that!

I know this is too late for now, but I always used to run the slow cooker on a timer, in case we were delayed getting home ( it turned it on when we were out too if necessary) . The timer just goes into the socket, and the cooker plugs into it.

They are only a few £ ( and you can use them for other things if the need arises)

Sadly....not good, been binned 😵‍💫

I've never put chicken breast in the slow cooker, I thought it was for thighs, legend cheaper cuts of beef etc.

AnSolas · 02/03/2025 10:53

So whats for dinner now?

RedVelvetIcing · 02/03/2025 10:54

You could have added some chopped tomatoes and curry paste as an attempt but I see you’ve binned it now.

What an odd comment. A slow cooker this to cook things slowly.

I put ours on in the morning before I leave for work, then food is ready when we walk through the door after work
