Can I have some filling snack ideas please?

DD is 4.5, and I can’t fill her at the moment. I’m trying to make meals more substantial too whilst keeping them balanced, no issues there, but we do seem to need a couple of decent snacks in there too - a piece of fruit or some veg sticks isn’t cutting it anymore!

We do hummus and breadsticks sometimes, or
crackers and cheese. Or a bit of peanut butter on toast. Just after some variety really!

Hard boiled eggs
Roasted chickpeas
Apple with peanut butter dip
Cheese and grapes
Veg sticks but with protein based dip eg hummus, cream cheese, or guacamole.
Cubes of fritata
Cherry tomatoes (halved) with the mini mozzarella balls.
Savoury flapjack
Buttered oat/rice cakes
Cheese scone

Following for ideas!

I often do a brown bread peanut butter sandwich with a banana and some milk after school.

Thanks all.

Made some savoury muffins and cheese scones today to stock the freezer. I had made these before, she loved them as a toddler but went off them around 3 - definitely worth another try though. She enjoyed a cheese scone today with a few baby cucumbers. Though full disclosure she also wolfed a packet of smarties her grandparents arrived brandishing!

I just remembered porridge muffins - I used to do these loads, make a huge batch of porridge, pimp it up with grated carrot, apply, sultanas, cinnamon, nut butter etc. Use some for breakfasts and bake the rest in a silicone muffin tin and freeze. Not sure why I stopped doing that,
will probably do it tomorrow for the week ahead - hopefully she’ll still eat them.

This last week she’s really been enjoying an oatcake (Scottish kind rather than Staffordshire) or two with peanut butter and then I give her a few raisins, some pumpkin seeds and other bits and bobs like that to ‘decorate’ it. That and a piece of fruit did the trick for after school, plus moving dinner slightly forward. Half term next week though so all bets are off!

Egg or tuna mayo on ryvita or rice cakes? You can chop up salad veg into the tuna as well

Greek yoghurt with a bit of granola and berries or a banana and peanut butter

Breakfast muffins

Wolfing down a packet of smarties doesn't mean she was hungry

Cheese oatcakes with hummus
Bagels and cream cheese
sandwiches
beans or scrambled eggs on toast

Honestly, I just feed mine an unlimited fruit and veg buffet all afternoon. Still hungry? Have another apple. And a whole carrot. Here’s half a cucumber. It’s not UPF, not just salty junk, and does fill them up if they eat enough of it. Also pretty inexpensive.
