Food ideas for 12 hour shifts

I have recently started a new ( health care) job working 13 hour - 730am to 830pm - shifts.
We are allotted a 30 minute break only, it is not always easy to take this - very limited opportunities for meals and snacking.
Bread doesn't really do any favours as a food, bur a sandwich or something like it is usually the easiest thing to eat.
I am already finding the shifts tiring, which in part I think is lack of food. I am naturally slight, don't have lots of energy reserves and tend to rely usually on regular amounts of food.
I was wondering if any other nurses or shift workers have any suggestions or advice as to how they manage to keep up their energy on long shifts 🙏🙏🙏

I'm not a shift worker but often had to eat at my desk. Pasta salad was easy to prepare and eat, and kept me full for longer than a sandwich. Potato salad also .
I'd add in whatever I had at home - chicken, bacon, ham, peas, sweetcorn, chopped peppers etc

If you have access to a microwave, a hearty soup is good too. Or make extra of whatever you're having the night before and take for lunch the next day.

Have you got access to the fridge? I’d go for protein based food as carbs are not going to fill you for long enough.

Fritata is really good. Can be eaten hot or cold. Make a big one and it will keep a few days. Chop into bite size cubes and just eat when you can.

I really struggle with food, with no fridge to keep it cold, I don’t eat rice, pasta, bread or potatoes. so I only have a packet of crisps, cereal bar and chocolate 😳 my bag always got something in it easy to grab, not good but it’s better than having nothing
