Could be shop bought or favourite recipe...

Honey mustard or blue cheese 😋

When dieting/losing weight I'd regularly lose higher calorie items from my salads to justify dousing what was remaining 😂

Pizza Express Light 👌🏻

I absolutely love ceasar dressing but yet to find a good shop bought one...

I make one with lime juice, chilli, rice wine vinegar, honey or other sugar, some chilli (fresh or dried) and sometimes a spot of fish sauce. Usually put it on red cabbage coleslaw with some salted peanuts and mint/coriander/basil (whichever I've got in.).

ginasevern · 05/02/2025 12:02

I like extra virgin olive oil with white wine vinegar although sometimes I like a good blue cheese dressing.

JC03745 · 05/02/2025 12:07

-caesar
-blue cheese dressing
-Asian flavours such as Thai Som Tam or Thai beef salad

PrincessHoneysuckle · 05/02/2025 12:07

Salad cream light 🤣

IPreveil · 05/02/2025 12:19

Has anyone come across a great blue cheese dressing recipe they can share? Or even a good store bought one

Oh don’t laugh 🥺. You can’t have an old style cheese salad without salad cream.

AdaColeman · 05/02/2025 12:43

Caesar salad dressing, but only if it includes anchovies.
Vinaigrette made with raspberry vinegar.

Yes Indeedy! I remember when Heinz tried to stop manufacturing it and there was a right ho ha!

menopausalfart · 05/02/2025 14:08

I can't be friends with salad unless it's smothered in mayo.

LoserWinner · 05/02/2025 14:14

Tahini, lemon juice, garlic and salt, loosened with water.

The Mary Berry one isn't bad.

Hope someone comes along with a good recipe though!

sprigatito · 05/02/2025 14:16

(I mean the Mary Berry bottled one, not a recipe)

CoastalCalm · 05/02/2025 14:19

M&S caeser dressing
home made honey mustard
salad cream
vinegar and sweet chilli

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 05/02/2025 14:19

Olive oil, lemon juice (fresh), a shed load of dried mint and salt and pepper. I hate shop bought dressings. Not a snob just really fussy.

Ophy83 · 05/02/2025 14:29

My go-tos are:
Asian dressing similar to the one outlined above by ppl
Red wine vinegar, dijon mustard, olive or fig leaf oil, shallot, pepper - v good on green beans or bitter leaves
Olive oil, clementine juice, splash of vinegar, drop of Sesame oil - good on a salad of crunchy lettuce with blue cheese and nuts
Speedy olive oil and balsamic on a green salad with pine nuts and parmesan shavings, great with lasagne
For a slaw: either a buttermilk dressing or a peanut satay dressing with chilli

wipeywipe · 05/02/2025 15:07

ranch dressing

Boope · 05/02/2025 15:21

@GoingOverToTheDarkSide That looks fabulous.
I use this one which I buy whenever I go to Spain. Currently using a blueberry flavoured balsamic. I always add olive oil as well. Probably have this 6 days a week for lunch.

WimpoleoftheBaileys · 05/02/2025 15:23

Onion & garlic dip.

DancefloorAcrobatics · 05/02/2025 15:24

Lemon juice, olive oil, (fresh) thyme, salt & pepper.

JC03745 · 05/02/2025 17:14

I use St Agur Creme which comes in a little tub. If you mix it, it thins, but you can add cream/yoghurt or I assume even a little milk or water to make it more like a dressing consistency. Other than salads, I've also added it to pasta as a sauce. 😋
