New to air frying and such a range of answers on online search- ranging from 15 minutes to 45 minutes :/

I do them for 20 mins.

Mid-sized potatoes, chop in half then each half into 1/3 or 1/2 depending on size. Bigger potatoes into more pieces.
Not massively thick wedges.

Mix a glug of oil, paprika & garlic power or grannuals in a pot. Toss the potatoes in the oil mix.

Throw in the air fryer on 200°c for 20 mins, shaking 3 or 4 times.

I agree with the timings above, but I soak the wedges in water for 30 minutes before drying & tossing in oil

Why do you do this?

To remove some of the starch - just the same as cooking any form of chips.
Improves the texture.

Agree with soaking them then 20 mins at 200. Drizzle of oil and a pinch of salt to crisp the outside. Even better than just shaking, use a silicone spatula to “stir” them and move the less cooked ones to the top.

Agree with soaking & drying off, when I have time!
