What's your favourite recipe for kleftiko? And what do you like to serve with it?

Looking forward to replies. Love it but never made.

Love it with lemon roast potatoes or if not, lemon rice.

And a small Greek salad.

serve with new potatoes, greek salad, and roast Mediterranean veg.

I cooked one recently with a whole shoulder, plenty of oregano, white wine & a few lemon slices. Too big for my slow cooker, so in the oven for several hours at a low temp.

I prefer the veg to be cooked separately, rather than as a stew, so I roasted some root veg & steamed some greenery.
