I picked some up from the supermarket today and wondered what delicious recipe I could use it? Any tried and tested suggestions? I see lots of people roast it…

It's cauliflower, isn't it? We just make cauliflower cheese when we get it in our veg box...

Roasted would be delicious. Don't cook it mush and you can't go wrong.

It's so pretty, let it look lovely on the plate. ☺️

Jamie Oliver's cauliflower lasagne is delicious (but don't make the pasta sheets!)

Stir-fried, with garlic and parsley and black pepper and perhaps lemon juice/lemon zest.

Sorry, but I don't get the love for baked - all too horribly and frequently easy to get rubbery plus charred. Ditto cauliflower. And all too often served tepid.

Steamed cauliflower plus steamed broccoli - just a few minutes - with a creamy cheese sauce (and mustard or fresh horseradish on the side) is however delish.

Just my opinion.

It’s so pretty isn’t it!! But yeah I think it’s a cauli not a broccoli. I’d just boil or steam it to keep the amazing green colour and shape intact and maybe dress it with a drizzle of something tasty like a vinaigrette or even just butter.

Where did you get it? I used to get in Waitrose but haven't been able to get it for years

And if you have any maths students at dinner you can discuss Fibonacci's numbers as it is a good example of that. 😁

I like to use it in ways that show its fractal florets and bright colour, so make Pasta Primavera or risotto Primavera with it.
Be careful not to over cook it.
