Pea and ham soup - Bigga dried peas

My lovely late aunt used to make this, I know she used these peas but otherwise I've no idea on her recipe. It was very thick and she added the ham shredded, any ideas? 💡

I think you soak them overnight and then rinse and cook in stock.
My Mum used to use them to make pea and ham soup and from memory thats what she did

You need onion, carrot and celery. I don’t use stock, just water.

I thought I was the only person in the world who loved marrowfat peas. Bring back many memories of visits to grandparents!
