As usual - bought some in for Christmas and as usual didn’t use it ! Any ideas for a recipe I can use it in?
I thought about a chocolate bread and butter pudding - but I don’t want to have a whole one to eat - I’m not sure if u can freeze it?

Im going to freeze some cream tomorrow, I have clotted cream and also mince pie cream and also baileys cream

Theres a thread at the moment where someone used up their out of date cream in a cake, used it instead of the butter, Im going to do that with this cream but not yet as everyone at work will be sick of cake at the moment.

Make ice cream?

Oldraver · 04/01/2025 19:44

Put it in coffee or hot chocolate

I'd be mixing it with melted chocolate and making choc mousse, that can easily be frozen and even eaten half frozen as choc ice cream if needed.

You could defo freeze the choc bread and butter pudding. I can here for ideas to use up double cream and you've inspired me. I'll use up some dying bananas and stale bread I shove in the freezer to make stuffing and forgot. Custard will be cream whizzed up with cocoa powder, bananas, eggs and milk.

Thanks all - I’ve stuck it in the freezer for now but some great ideas ! I’m going to make the B&B pud but will try the ice cream idea def. Interested in knowing you ca make cake by replacing the butter with cream - that is definitely one I will be trying.
