I really need to broaden my recipe repertoire and try a new dish each week this year. Would anyone like to share their best go-to recipes (nb. no goats cheese or avocado!)? TIA

Yes please, a great idea!
mine is a lasagne with alternate layers of garlicky leek and mushroom, and of cottage cheese, spinach and nutmeg. Surprisingly yummy.

you could cook along with the weekly Guardian column The New Vegan, it's usually ran by Meer Sodha, who I love, though she does occasionally take breaks and another writer will cover it - Ixta Belfrage and Georgina Hayden for example. I find her recipes tasty and reliable.

My meat-loving kids have loved this bolognese recipe for years - really tasty and pretty low effort (kind of storecupboard-ey too, especially if you prep an extra bunch of onion/carrot/celery for the freezer, meaning you can whip this up easily).

This delicious recipe for vegetarian lentil bolognese sauce from Eat Well for Less makes enough for 2 meals. Brilliant with spaghetti or in a lasagne.

One day I will learn how to do clicky links.
Meanwhile this pasta dish is lovely. I like mushrooms frilled in garlic butter on top

Tonight we had giant couscous with roasted courgette and pepper, honey and mustard dressing with honey fried halloumi ontop, delicious!
