Can Fresh ready mash be frozen?

Bought some of the fresh mash from Sainsbury's (near fresh fruit and veg rather than chiller) but it says 'Do not freeze'.
Has anyone frozen and reheated it? Is it safe though I can't see why it wouldn't be.

I would freeze it. Just make sure its heated up properly when serving.

I freeze it all the time. Just defrost before heating and it's fine.

If it says "do not freeze" it has probably previously been frozen. If you want to freeze it again I would reheat it, cool it then refreeze it.

You can freeze the Tesco one and cook from defrosted, but bear in mind it's a bugger to defrost in winter. Over 12h out of the fridge in a kitchen

Thanks all - I'll just make sure it's been well blitzed!

I do wonder though if it has been previously frozen? Seems an odd thing to do when it's sold amongst the fresh fruit and veg. I will contact Sainsbury's to check.
