Sweet red wine - use in casserole/sauce

There is a newly opened bottle of Jammy Red Roo in the house which I don't like.

I'm about to pour it down the sink as nobody to pass it on to - do you think it would work in a casserole or sauce?

freeze it in ice cube tray overnight and then pop in a food bag and use when you need red wine in a recipe

This - always useful to have knocking about.

I used mulled wine in a sausage casserole once as we didn't have any other left over wine. I now only use mulled wine in it as it was so good. I think the jammy red would work well in that too. With some smoked bacon in to balance out the sweetness.

Thanks all - have frozen it for now and will try it in January!
