I cook a lot but am all out of inspiration after a dinner party for 12 on 21st and lunch yesterday. I've done trifle and pavlova and cheesecake to death.
Ideas pls? Maybe sticky toffee ? Any good recipes ?
Needs to be portable too as taking to a friend's....

Tiramisu is always a winner, and easier than trifle especially if you use shop bought lady fingers instead of a sponge base.
Or you could do a fruit platter with dipping sauces?
Or a big crumble with a jug of custard and a jug of cream?

I think probably a crumble and a tiramisu will work. Strawberry crumble is good by Nigella. Turns winter crap straws into a thing of beauty - almonds in it.
Just need to get to shop tomorrow. I ended up making whole meal at my mum's today. I suspect dementia as she invited people round but looked so lost and had no clue how to coordinate it

Profiteroles
Or a chocolate fondue for something a little less formal

Apple tart. Get an all butter puff pastry ready rolled. You get a big rectangle of pastry. Put it on baking sheet. Score about a centimetre all round for a border. Prick. Frangipane if you want (or not). Lay cored, thinly sliced apple in rows. Brush with melted butter & apricot glaze. Cook. You end up with a big, rectangular tart which is easy to transport. Reheat or serve cold. Easy to cut as it will fit on a big chopping board and you can use a pizza wheel on it. Make a big bowl of chantilly to go with it.

Roulade
Fruit salad
French apple flan
Winter jelly with soaked apricots, prunes, pear, cinnamon, dissolve the gelatine in some dilute apple juice with a glue of brandy - serve with left over brandy cream.
Profiteroles with cointreau cream

Add a bit of edible glitter to anything dusted with icing sugar

or just find a good patisserie and buy it

Bread & butter panettone pudding, three quarter cook, wrap dish in foil to transport, then finish cooking at the venue. Use up all leftovers, panettone, brandy butter, cream and custard!

Polenta and almond cake, serve with a compote of winter fruits, apples, pears, fresh figs, mandarin, dried apricots.

Frangipane tart with black cherries or pears.

I was also going to say panettone bread and butter pudding - I love this Jamie recipe one with dark choc chunks and marmalade.
