My Dad has asked for this as part of our Christmas Day dessert choice. Does anyone know how big a bowl I’ll need to make one, please?

Are you using the box mix? That is a pretty small amount so smallish bowl is fine unless you are making multiple packs.

Yep, used to make this as a kid in a 2pt Pyrex bowl, so not big.

It serves six - you can make it in one big bowl or six normal sized dessert bowls. I go for the individual bowls because I hate serving trifle - as soon as you take out one portion the rest of it sinks.

I find it’s very stingy with the trifle sponges so I usually buy extra and add a can of tinned mandarins or strawberries to the jelly. To make your topping go thick the milk needs to be fresh and stone cold.

Yes, using the box :-) I haven’t made one since I was a kid but it was a Christmas Day staple growing up!
He doesn’t ask for much, so I’ll buy a smaller glass dish tomorrow as mine as too big.
thank you!

Serves 6! Not in my house it wouldn't lol, used to love it years ago but now make my own similar style one but it is definitely a taste of Christmas past!

Serves 6
Yeah, like 1 sachet of Angel Delight serves 4 🤣
God I love a Birds Trifle but DH is gluten free nowadays and by the time I've bought the special trifle sponges, well I might just as well make the rest up myself.
