DH doesn't like mustard - what are your thoughts on a honey paprika glaze? Or any other suggestions for a little spice hit? DS (who is 12) has volunteered to make Christmas lunch this year, so it needs to be simple!

Hot Honey might work?

This is super and fairly straightforward www.sainsburysmagazine.co.uk/recipes/christmas/hot-honey-glazed-ham

I think paprika would be a bit weird. I would go for more traditional Christmas spices - cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon. If you get the caramelisation right on the glaze though, you won’t really miss the spice.

I always just use apricot jam and it seems to work well

I pop the gammon in the slow cooker with some vintage cider then glaze it and bake
