What is the best (white) bread for toasted sandwiches in your opinion?

I wonder how the Morrisons fresh tin loaf toasts?

I’m going to make up a stash of Brie and onion chutney sandwiches for the freezer for the days between Christmas and new year when we don’t want to go shopping.

TIA.

Sliced crusty bread (aka farmhouse style) from a supermarket bakery always hits the spot!

Jasons works well, it’s got a nice chewiness to it when toasted.

I wouldn't make the sandwiches in advance. The nicest bread in my opinion is the boule bread in Marks & Spencer's. I freeze it and just have a slice at a time.

White bread is processed junk. If you really can’t tolerate wholemeal then go for sourdough

Jackson's bloomer, I used to work in a cafe and they used this and customer's were always asking what bread it was. Both the white & seeded versions are lovely.
