tinned sardines - how to make them more palatable?

Am looking to increase my intake of these as they are oily fish, sustainable, cheap, easy to stock up on. Looking for nice ways to eat them - for one or two people - other than sardines on toast. I have invented a nice cherry tomato + pasta + caper + lemon juice combo, but that's it so far...

How about in a dpotato topped, tomato based fish pie?

I once had a very nice sardine risotto in a small Italian caff and had a go at re-creating it at home. It was actually rather nice.

Make a fairly bland risotto (ie. with half an onion chopped fine sauteed in butter, add rice - I actually use long grain rice because I don't like very gooey risotto and anyway the dish in the caff had separate grains of rice IYSWIM - veg stock, a glass of white wine). When the rice is nearly cooked add steamed summer veg (green beans, baby corn, asparagus, petits pois, or any combination of those, its actually very nice just with peas) and a tin of sardines in tomato sauce chopped up a bit. Heat through. Serve with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of black pepper. Honestly, its lovely!

The best way to eat sardines, however, is fresh ones, barbecued. Oh those are lovely lovely lovely.
